Drilling for caissons was begun last week at the new Crown Community Center, Ice Complex, and Library Project, according to the weekly update from the construction manager.

In addition, workers completed construction of the building pad and continued temporary site utilities work.

In the week ahead, caisson drilling will continue, a temporary power setup will be completed with ComEd, earthwork will begin in the west half of the new parking lot, and street pavement sawcuts will be performed at utility connection locations.

More information on the project, located at Dodge Avenue and Main Street, is available on the project website.
