A home under renovation in the 2400 block of Lake Street was accessed by a burglar who broke a kitchen window to get in and took carpeting valued at $500, according to Evanston police.
The burglary took place between 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. yesterday, said EPD Cmdr. Joseph Dugan.
The incident was the only item on the daily crime bulletin for Friday.
