  1. Misinformation on the property tax increase

The City of Evanston Budget message is clearly met to confuse.  The numbers are there, but they are not clearly presented.  It is likely if the Mayor and Council members are not looking at Evanstonnow , they would believe the property tax increase to be only 3%.

I suspect a large number of residents now believe the 2012 budgeted property tax increase is only 3%!

The unofficial number obtain from the city is 7.91% = 8% so staff knows the number they just do not want to tell everyone.

What about 2013 will it be 12% or 16% clearly this is not going to work.

By the way we hear Public comment is not posted on the Agenda for Saturday's budget meeting at the civic center at 9:00 am,  an omission?
