Evanston officials looking for new ways to balance the city budget might check out Advertising Age’s report on how New York City has cleaned up selling ad space on the sides of its trash trucks to the maker of Glad trash bags.

New York officials aren’t talking about exactly how much they raked in from the deal but they say they’re open to other “tasteful” ad campaigns on the trucks.
