800 Greenleaf
A cell phone left unattended at Nichols Middle School, in the 800 block of Greenleaf Street, was reported stolen around 5:30 p.m. yesterday.
1400 Judson
A license plate was removed from a 2014 Honda parked in the 1400 block of Judson Avenue between 10 a.m. Tuesday and 11:15 a.m. yesterday.
200 Custer
A package containing a light brown tote bag and wallet that was delivered to a condominium in the 200 block of Custer Avenue was stolen around 4 p.m. yesterday.
Battery
1822 Ridge
Shawn A. Smith, 44, of 1822 Ridge Ave., was arrested at that address at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on March 13 at 9:30 a.m.
Criminal Damage
2300 Emerson
Someone slashed the tires of a 2018 Dodge vehicle in the 2300 block of Emerson Street around 3:53 p.m. yesterday.
Traffic
Dempster at Dodge
Arturo Alvarado-Mejia, 36, of 6028 N. Mozart St., Chicago, was arrested at Dempster Street and Dodge Avenue at 5:34 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on March 22 at 1:30 p.m.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court apearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
