An unattended cell phone in the parking lot at Trader Joe’s, in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue, was stolen yesterday afternoon. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

1200 Chicago

A cell phone, left unattended in the parking lot at Trader Joe’s grocery store, in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue, was stolen at about 3:18 p.m. yesterday.

2100 Green Bay

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from the shelves at Walgreen’s Pharmacy, in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road, at about 9:10 p.m. yesterday.

Battery

1228 Pitner

Ashley C. Lewis, 28, of 1228 Pitner Ave., was arrested at that address at 3:27 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery.

1620 Foster

Shana R. Miles, 33, of 1620 Foster St., was arrested at that address at 12:56 a.m. today and charged with domestic battery.

Burglary

800 Case

A burglar forced open the front door to an apartment in the 800 block of Case Street between 8:30 a.m. and 6:54 p.m. yesterday and stole a camera and jewelry.

Criminal Damage

1100 Washington

Someone damaged the front glass door of a children’s home in the 1100 block of Washington Street around 2:40 p.m. yesterday.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
