Chef Vince DiBattista of Evanston’s Campagnola Restaurant and Union Pizzeria, known for his renderings of simple Italian dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients, will be the featured chef at tomorrow’s Evanston Farmers’ Market.

He will be preparing Beans and Greens with Sweet Red Pepper and Feta Bruschetta at the Friends of Evanston Farmers’ Markets tent in the southwest corner of the market, located adjacent to the Maple Avenue parking garage and behind the Hilton Garden Inn Evanston Hotel, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The recipe will be posted on the Friends’ website on Monday.

Friends is an Evanston not-for-profit organization that exists to support the farmers’ market experience in Evanston. It also raises funds to supplement the federal government’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by matching, dollar for dollar, food expenditures at the farmers’ market by participants in the program who use the Illinois Link card.
