Chevy stolen from home near the lake

A white, 2003 Chevrolet was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 100 block of Dempster Street. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

100 Dempster

A white 2003 Chervolet was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 100 block of Dempster Street between 1 a.m. and 11 a.m. yesterday.

600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were stolen from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 10:35 a.m. Friday.

500 Sheridan

Cash was removed from the bedroom closet of an apartment in the 500 block of Sheridan Square around 11:24 a.m. Saturday.

2100 Greenleaf

Someone stole all four tires and rims off a 2018 Nissan in a business parking lot in the 2100 block of Greenleaf Street between midnight and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

2000 Wesley

A package containing a cell phone that was delivered to an apartment common area in the 2000 block of Wesley Avenue was stolen between 1:20 p.m. Friday and 9:11 a.m. Saturday.

100 Callan

Furniture delivered to an apartment common area in the 100 block of Callan Avenue was stolen between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday.

Battery

319 Dempster

Robert David Conner, 28, of 1458 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 319 Dempster St. at 12:49 p.m. Saturday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Aug. 21 at 9 a.m.

1901 Emerson

Troy M. Marshall, 32, of 1810 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 1901 Emerson St. at 3:49 p.m. Friday and charged with battery. He is due in court on July 12 at 10:30 a.m.

Burglary

400 Florence

Someone entered an unlocked 2012 Hyundai and an unlocked 2018 Nissan shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Florence Avenue, but nothing was reported taken from either vehicle.

100 Keeney

A 2014 Mazda in the 100 block of Keeney St. was accessed between 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. Nothing was reported taken.

1100 Oak

Cash was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1100 block of Oak Avenue between 9 p.m. Saturday and 6:45 a.m.  yesterday.

1100 Judson

A purse with cash was taken from an unlocked 2017 Honda in the 1100 block of Judson Avenue between 5 p.m. Saturday and 9:15 a.m. yesterday.

2000 Harrison

Two bicycles were taken from the unlocked garage of a home in the 2000 block of Harrison Street between 8 p.m. Friday and 11:05 a.m. Saturday.

2400 Prairie

A burglar smashed the passenger window of a 2015 Volkswagen in the 2400 block of Prairie Avenue between  3 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday and stole a GPS unit and cash.

1900 Colfax

Someone broke a side window to access a vehicle in the 1900 block of Colfax Street between 8 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday. Nothing was reported taken.

Criminal Damage

1400 Forest

Someone damaged some flower pots in the yard of a home in the 1400 block of Forest Avenue between 11:51 a.m. Friday and 11:51 a.m. Saturday.

2500 Prairie

Someone shattered the passenger window of a 1999 Toyota in the 2500 block of Prairie Avenue between 6:20 p.m. Friday and 10:15 a.m. Saturday.

1900 Colfax

Someone damaged the passenger window of a 2004 Honda in the 1900 block of Colfax Street between 10 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Sheridan at Chicago

Police checked out a report of a man with a gun near Sheridan Road and Chicago Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Friday, but found no man with a gun.

1519 Darrow

Gregory Reese, 32, of 1849 W. Lunt Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1519 Darrow Ave. at 3:33 p.m. yesterday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

Shots Heard

1900 Wesley

Gunshots were reported in the 1900 block of Wesley Avenue around 12:24 a.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

1900 Hartrey

Gunshots were reported in the 1900 block of Hartrey Avenue around 1 a.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Traffic

100 Sheridan

Gary K. Anderson, 30, of 3139 N. Lockwood Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 100 Sheridan Road at 4:01 p.m. on June 1 and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 16 at 10:30 a.m.

1708 Oak

Scott M. Fincher, 71, of 6634 N. Bosworth Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1708 Oak Ave. at 3:22 a.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on July 31 at 9 a.m.

2544 Gross Point

Efrain Perez Garcia, 42, of 3003 W. 39th Place, Chicago, was arrested at 2544 Gross Point Road at 12:35 a.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on July 19 at 10:30 a.m.

3200 Simpson

Isacc Delynn Russell, 31, of 2048 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, was arrested at 3200 Simpson St. at 12:59 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 26 at 1:30 p.m.

2002 Lake

Justus J. Smith, 23, of 1221 Pitner Ave., was arrested at 2002 Lake St. at 5:10 a.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence.

Howard at Grey

Usman Tajhir, 32, of 9013 Lavergne, Skokie, was arrested at Howard Street and Grey Avenue at 3:38 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 26 at 10:30 a.m.
