Police Cmdr. Ryan Glew says that during the investigation by NORTAF and Evanston police Galvez made statements admitting that he had driven the vehicle used in the shooting incident.

17-year-old Carl Dennison of Skokie died at the shooting scene. The four other victims were hospitalized. Two have since been released, but police say the other two, a 14-year-old female and a 17-year-old male, remain hospitalized.

Glew says the case remains an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Evanston Police Detective Bureau at 847-866-5040 or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) and then start your message with EPDTIP.

The next scheduled court appearance for Galvez is Dec. 28 at the Skokie Courthouse.
