Students, parents, and alumni of Evanston’s Chute Middle School, at 1400 Oakton St., will celebrate the institution’s 50th anniversary with a party at the school on Thursday, May 11.

The event, which starts at 6 p.m., will spotlight a preview at 7 p.m. of the school’s new four-panel stained glass piece in the auditorium.

Chute yearbooks, in addition to other Chute gear, will be available for purchase at the event, which also features light snacks, music, student performances, and photo displays from Chute’s 50 years.
