Like most everything else, many Evanston city offices and facilities will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and some will remain closed on Friday as well.

No recycling collection will occur on Thursday, Nov. 27, or Friday, Nov.28. Recycling collection for Thursday and Friday will occur on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Additionally, no refuse collection will occur on Thursday, Nov. 27. Solid waste and yard waste collection will resume on Friday, Nov. 28.

The Evanston Public Libraries, Robert Crown Center, and the 3-1-1 Call Center will be closed on Thursday. The Chandler-Newberger Center and Noyes Cultural Arts Center will be closed both Thursday and Friday.

The Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center and Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center will be closed Nov. 27-30. The Ecology Center will be closed November 25-30. The Levy Senior Center will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain closed Thursday and Friday.
