City announces Thanksgiving schedule

The City of Evanston has announced its schedule of facility and service closings for the Thanksgiving Day holiday next week.

No recycling collection will occur on Thursday, Nov. 28 or Friday, Nov. 29. Recycling collection for Thursday and Friday will occur on Saturday, Nov. 30.

No refuse collection will occur on Thursday, Nov. 28. Solid waste and yard waste collection will resume on Friday, Nov. 29.

The Evanston Public Libraries, Robert Crown Center and the 3-1-1 Call Center will be closed on Nov. 28.

The Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Center, and Noyes Cultural Arts Center will be closed Nov. 28 and 29. 

The Ecology Center will be closed Nov. 28-30. The Levy Senior Center will close at 5 p.m. on Nov. 27 and be closed Nov. 28 and 29.

Chandler-Newberger Center will be closed on Nov. 28 and open on Nov. 29 only for the open basketball program.
