A full snow-plowing operation is being planned for Friday night into Saturday morning by Evanston crews to cope with an expected 1-2 inches of snow.

Already they’ve treated bridge decks and some main streets with anti-icing materials  to improve the effectiveness of the salt.

Overnight operations will primarily focus on main roads and secondary routes, with final clean-up on residential streets during daytime hours on Saturday, the city said.

As of late Friday, it appeared to be unlikely that parking restrictions would be issued, the city said.
