The City of Evanston’s annual firewood sale begins on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 2310 Oakton St., between the Recycling Center and the Animal Shelter.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays through the end of February, or until supplies are exhausted. But firewood won’t be sold on Saturday, Dec. 24.

Prices are $30 per 1/8 face cord; $50 per 1/4 face cord; $80 per 1/2 face cord or $150 per full-face cord. Payment by personal check is preferred. Payment also can be made with cash; exact change is appreciated. Credit cards are not accepted.

Employees will be available to assist with loading firewood into a vehicle. Firewood cannot be delivered. For more information, call 311.
