Patrick Sheeran has been named superintendent of streets and sanitation in Evanston’s public works department.

City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz says Sheeran worked over 20 years for the Village of Libertyville in its public works department and that he brings a wealth of street maintenance and contract administration expertise to the job.

City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz says Sheeran worked over 20 years for the Village of Libertyville in its public works department and that he brings a wealth of street maintenance and contract administration expertise to the job.

Sheeran, who started work in Evanston on Monday, has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University.

The city’s former streets and sanitation chief, Suzette Robinson, now heads the public works department.
