The City of Evanston invites Evanston businesses to attend a seminar on how to do business with the city on Thursday, April 28, from 6-9 p.m. at the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave.

That’s a change from the previously announced April 14 date for the event.

Here’s what the seminar is designed to provide.

  • An overview of the city’s bidding and small purchasing requirements prospective Minority, Women and Evanston Business Enterprises (MWEBE’s);
  • More tailored break-out sessions on the competitive bid process ($20K+), potential projects, etc. and the small purchasing requirements (under $20K); and
  • Encouragement for more businesses to participate in city bids and small purchases.

This seminar is not limited to large companies, sub-contractors or professional consultants.

Smaller-scale businesses such as caterers, auto parts suppliers, along with minority-owned, women-owned and Evanston-based businesses are also encouraged to attend.
