City: Road work to restart after strike settlement

Evanston city officials say that work will resume Wednesday on construction projects in the city after a settlement was reached today in a nearly three-week strike by heavy equipment operators.

The settlement is also expected to mean a resumption of work to replace the roof on the Evanston Civic Center.
