The City of Evanston is seeking applications from not-for-profit arts groups for some small grants.
The 2012 Cultural Fund Grant Program provides grants of up to $1,000 to support operations of Evanston-based not-for-profit arts organizations whose primary mission is to provide performing, visual, or literacy arts programs.
Applications are available on the city’s website, for pickup from the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., or by mail by calling 847-448-8260.
The program is administered by the city’s Cultural Arts Division and the Evanston Arts Council.
The Arts Council strongly encourages the development of broader participation by Evanston’s diverse cultural community through collaborative efforts among artists, arts organizations, and the greater community.
A grant writing technical assistance workshop will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center. Application must be received by 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30.
