Evanston’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs invites community members to listening and information drop-in sessions about public transit around the city.

The sessions will provide an overview of the 2014 Transit Survey, explain how it will be used to prioritize and invest in transit, and will provide information about upcoming transit projects.

Participants will also be given the opportunity to design their own desired bus route and share comments regarding current transit services.

Sessions are scheduled for:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St., which is served by CTA Bus #93 and Pace Bus #213.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Ave., which is served by CTA Bus routes #93 and #97.
  • Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave., which is served by the CTA Davis Purple Line station, CTA Bus #93 and #201, and Pace Bus routes #208, #213 and #250.

Before attending an information session, residents are encouraged to complete the transit survey now through Aug. 31 online, or by calling 311 (847-448-4311 outside of Evanston).
