The city is selling firewood again this winter from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at 2310 Oakton St., between the Recycling Center and the Animal Shelter.

Prices are the same as last year: $15 for 1/8 face cord,
$25 for 1/4 face cord, $45 for 1/2 face cord and $75 for a full face cord.

Payment by personal check is preferred although payment can also be made by cash. Credit cards are not accepted, and delivery is not available. For more information, call 847-866-2912.

Free woodchips are also available at the base of the hill in adjacent James Park. Residents are welcome to take as many of the woodchips as they want.
