The City of Evanston 2013 Summer Camp Guide is now available online.

Starting Monday, printed copies will be available at the Civic Center and city recreation centers and libraries.

They’ll also be delivered next week to elementary schools that have agreed to help distribute the guides.

Camp registration will kick off with a new priority registration lottery process.

Evanston residents can enter the lottery from Feb. 5-22  by applying at No payment is required to participate in the lottery. During the lottery period, residents without access to a computer can enter their children into the lottery by visiting the civic center or one of the recreation centers.

Camp options include general day camps, as well as camps specializing in sports, arts, ecology and aquatics. Full-day and half-day options are available and camps range in length from one week to the entire summer.

Camps are offered for all ages. There are 12 camp for preschoolers; 23 camps for 8-year-olds; 28 camps for 11-year-olds; 16 camps for 14-year-olds; and older teens can participate in Battle of the Bands Mini-Camp, Aquatic Camp, Figure Skating Camp and Leader-in-Training camps.
