Evanston aldermen tonight are scheduled to approve a resolution establishing a program to honor African American Heritage Sites in the city.

Here’s a quick tour of the eight sites to be included in the program’s initial set of locations.

Under the resolution, the program would operate as a collaboration among the city, the Preservation Commission and the Shorefront Legacy Center.
