A City of Evanston pickup truck hit three parked cars this evening before ending up on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of Davis Street.

The owner of one of the parked vehicles, a white Hyundai, said she was sitting in her car the pickup hit a parked car behind her, crashed into her vehicle, then hit a Tesla before jumping up over the curb.

The Tesla owner, who was not in his car at the time, told Evanston Now he had just picked up the new car on Monday.

There were no injuries. The accident remains under investigation, so there is no word on any possible citations.

Update 8/14/20: Police Cmdr. Brian Henry says the driver of the truck had taken medication that impaired her ability to operate a vehicle. He says she was arrested for driving under the influence and issued several traffic citations.
