Evanston officials say the city got 3.8 inches of snow overnight and that snow cleanup operations will continue all day today.

Temperatures are quite cold — around 9 degrees at the moment — and expected to say that way — making roads slippery and hampering cleanup operations.

Last night, Assistant Public Works Director James Maiworm says, crews plowed and salted all the main and secondary’s streets and began plowing residential streets.

Today Public Works crews will plow residential streets as a primary focus but will also be retreating main and secondary streets as the day progresses
