The next step in the implementation of Evanston’s Climate Action and Resilience Plan (CARP) is a forum scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Evanston Ecology Center.

A draft of the plan, released earlier this month, calls for the city to become carbon neutral by 2050 and explores not only how to reduce emissions, but how Evanston will be impacted by the changing climate.

Mayor Stephen Hagerty will host Saturday’s forum from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Ecology Center to update the community and solicit input and feedback on the plan.

The public comment period of the plan lasts until Sept. 28.
