Clothes left in laundromat dryer are stolen

A thief stole clothes left in a laundromat dryer on Dodge Avenue. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

1716 Dodge

Larry S. Cox, 54, of 1908 Foster St., was arrested at 1716 Dodge Ave. at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Jan. 25 at 9:30 a.m.

817 Judson

Jelani H. Summers, 36, of 817 Judson Ave., was arrested at that address at 3:17 a.m. Friday and charged with domestic battery.

Burglary

1200 Dodge

Video games were stolen from an unlocked apartment in the 1200 block of Dodge Avenue between 5 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Criminal Damage

2100 Asbury

A window was broken, locks were shattered, and wires were cut in the steering column of a 1979 Pontiac in the 2100 block of Asbury Avenue between 8 a.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday

2700 Payne

A panel was damaged with a pellet in the 2700 block of Payne Street between 10 p.m. Thursday and 8:31 a.m. Sunday.

Criminal Trespass

1454 Elmwood

Anthony M. Strachan, 18, of 627 Brummel St., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 10:22 p.m. Saturday and charged with criminal trespass of a vehicle. He is due in court on March 1 at 9 a.m.

Drugs

2417 Nathaniel

Jaren M. Walker, 22, of 1810 Laurel Ave., was arrested at 2417 Nathaniel Place at 10:07 p.m. Sunday and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Graffiti

South Boulevard at Custer

Graffiti was found on government property near South Boulevard and Custer Avenue at 5:33 p.m. Friday.

1515 Chicago

Elissia D. Robinson, 33, of 1417 N. Monitor Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1515 Chicago Ave. at 1:53 a.m. Sunday and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Toney Trigg, 36, of 1507 N. Mayfield Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1515 Chicago Ave. at 5:51 a.m. Sunday and charged with resisting or obstructing an officer. He is due in court on March 1 at 9 a.m.

1715 Maple

Nenette Gil, 40, of 2004 Foster St., was arrested at 1715 Maple Ave. at 1:14 a.m. Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct. She is due in court on Feb. 1 at 9 a.m.

2018 Wesley

Kendale A. Walker, 18, of 1319 Brummel St., was arrested at 2018 Wesley Ave. at 12:30 a.m. Saturday and charged with being in a park after close. He is due in court on Feb. 16 at 9 a.m.

Shots Heard

1600 Hinman

Gunshots were reported in the 1600 block of Hinman Avenue at 6:48 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

800 Dodge

Clothes were left in a dryer at a laundromat in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue and were stolen between 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday.

600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were stolen from a pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 10 a.m. Sunday.

800 Judson

Two bicycles were taken from an apartment storage area in the 800 block of Judson Avenue between Dec. 18 and 11 a.m. Sunday.

400 Callan

A package containing hygeine products and clothes that had been delivered to an apartment common area in the 400 block of Callan Avenue was stolen between Jan. 3 and 3:11 p.m. yesterday.

2485 Howard

Mansfield L. Wallace, 45, of 1315 McDaniel Ave., was arrested at 2485 Howard St. at 7:15 a..m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Feb. 6 at 9 a.m.

Traffic

2100 Howard

Jose Bernal, 21, of 1816 Dobson St., was arrested at 2100 Howard St. at 7:56 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on March 1 at 10:30 a.m.

600 Grove

Thomas J. Gamjaeger, 54, of 1890 Maple Ave., was arrested at 600 Grove Ave. at 12:57 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on March 14 at 10:30 a.m.

1725 Emerson

Christopher C. Nelson Jr., 32, of 4215 N. Broadway Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1725 Emerson St. at 9:01 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m.

1000 Pitner

Maria Lournes Reyes, 44, of 4420 N. Bernard St., Chicago, was arrested at 1000 Pitner Ave. at 7:45 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on March 1 at 10:30 a.m.

313 Custer

Ernesto Rodriguez-Hernandez, 28, of 330 Callan Ave., was arrested at 313 Custer Ave. at 3:30 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on March 1 at 9 a.m.

Central at Crawford

Rebecca I. Callisher, 36, of 4913 Church St., Skokie, was arrested at Central Street and Crawford Avenue at 5:58 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Feb. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

Ridge at Grove

Wendy C. Metter, 61, of 826 Milburn St., was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Grove Street at 7:56 p.m. Friday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Feb. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
