Oakton Community College is offering residents a chance to get college credit over winter break.
The “Winterim” — or winter interim — session provides college-credit classes in a condensed time period.
Courses run Monday, Dec. 21, through Friday, Jan. 15.
Offerings are available in areas including computer information systems, English, management, philosophy, physical education and psychology.

They’re available at Oakton’s Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road, or online.
Winterim classes do not meet on holidays, the eves of holidays or on weekends.
