The Evanston Community Foundation says its annual Celebrate Evanston event last Thursday had gross revenue of over $280,000.

Nearly 350 guests attended the event at the Hilton Orrington Hotel.

The evening featured a musical revue directed by Judy Kemp, many guest speakers, and a live auction.

“We are honored to have so many in our community join us in support of Evanston” said President and CEO Monique B. Jones. “At the Foundation, we’ve seen that where giving thrives, community thrives too.”

The event was hosted by Emmy award winning reporter and native Evanstonian Jenniffer Weigel. The live appeal was led by auctioneer Brian Kirschenbaum. Guests had the opportunity to bid on floral centerpieces containing mystery prizes as well as a slate of themed dinner parties held throughout the year.
