The Evanston Community Foundation is now accepting proposals for project-based and capacity-building grants from nonprofit organizations serving the Evanston community.

The Foundation’s 2013-14 Responsive Grants will fund projects in a broad range of program areas that will strengthen the community beyond the grant period. During its previous Responsive Grants cycle, the Foundation made 30 grants totaling over $214,000.

Funding guidelines and application procedures are available at Applications must be filed electronically through by Monday, Jan. 28, at midnight, an earlier deadline than in previous years.
The Foundation is offering office hours during which staff will be available to meet with grant seekers who have questions about applying for a grant.

Staff will be available  from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.on Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15. Please contact or call 847-492-0990 to schedule an appointment.
