An open house at Oakton Community College will showcase computer courses and careers.

Free and open to the public, the event will be held Wednesday, April 6, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the school’s Skokie campus, located at 7701 N. Lincoln Ave.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the college’s offerings in computer applications for business (CAB), computer information systems (CIS), computer networking and systems (CNS), computer science (CSC), and electronics and computer technology (ELT).

The open house will include presentations on how to receive a free voucher for Microsoft Office certification exams. Also, get the latest news about cyber security from leading experts including Kevin Thompson, a former cyber analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency.

During the event, attendees will be able to meet with Oakton advisors to learn about financial aid assistance and transfer opportunities. Throughout the open house, free pizza will be served.
