Evanston police responded to three reports of gunshots heard in the city last night. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Criminal damage

400 Dewey

Someone damaged the front door lock of a 2002 Ford in the 400 block of Dewey Avenue between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 8:15 a.m. yesterday.

Shots Heard

2400 Lincolnwood

Gunshots were reported in the 2400 block of Lincolnwood Drive at 9:30 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

1700 Grey

Gunshots were reported in the 1700 block of Grey Avenue at 9:55 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

300 Custer

Gunshots were reported in the 300 block of Custer Avenue at 1:36 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found nothing.


9600 Gross Point

Theodore R. Howell, 22, of 3618 Old Glenview Road, was arrested at 9600 Gross Point Road at 3:48 p.m. on July 12 and was charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on July 22 at 9 a.m.
