Evanston police responded to four reports of gunshots heard in city neighborhoods overnight Tuesday. These among stories in Thursday’s daily crime report from the agency.

SHOTS HEARD
1800 Cleveland
Gunshots were reported in the 1800 block of Cleveland Street at 10:25 p.m. Thursday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

100 Clyde
Gunshots were reported in the 100 block of Clyde Avenue at 12:03 a.m. Wednesday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Howard at Ridge
Gunshots were reported near Howard Street and Ridge Avenue at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Sherman at Oakton
Gunshots were reported near Sherman Avenue and Oakton Street at 12:27 a.m. Thursday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

ASSAULT
5600 Old Orchard
Brandon M. Clark, 34, of 7235 N. Western Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 5600 Old Orchard Road at 10:30 a.m. Monday and charged with assault and aggravated battery.

BATTERY
1454 Elmwood
Shawn Higgins, 26, of 901 Maple Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 10:28 a.m. on August 3 and charged with battery.

BURGLARY
1225 McDaniel
Emrick P. Cabral, 26, of 4731 Main St., Skokie, was arrested at 1225 McDaniel Ave. at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday and charged with burglary.

76th Street, Chicago
Dominique Jones, 30, of 10100 S. Princeton Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 10220 S. 76th St., Chicago, at 9:52 a.m. on August 4, and charged with burglary.

1000 Central
A damaged door lock provided entry to a 2019 Honda at a parking lot in the 1000 block of Central Street between 12:30 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. Tuesday. Nothing was reported taken.

1200 Emerson
Cash, credit cards, and headphones were taken from a 2022 Ford in a parking lot in the 1200 block of Emerson Street between 6 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

1300 Seward
Burglars entered an unlocked 2007 Toyota in the 1300 block of Seward Street between 10:30 a.m. Sunday and 11:40 a.m. Tuesday. Nothing was reported taken.

700 Michigan
Burglars gained entry to a 2009 Toyota in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue between 6 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday. Nothing was reported taken.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
900 Ashland
A tail light was damaged on the rear of a 2001 Honda in the 900 block of Ashland Avenue between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 5:53 p.m. Tuesday.

1900 Hartrey
The windshield was damaged on a 2002 Chevrolet in the 1900 block of Hartrey Avenue around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

GRAFFITI
1200 Darrow
Graffiti was discovered on a garage and in the yard of a residence in the 1200 block of Darrow Avenue at 8:13 a.m. Wednesday.

1800 Crain
Graffiti was discovered on a residence in the 1800 block of Crain Street at 8:17 a.m. Wednesday.

THEFT
Dewey at Cleveland
A Trek bicycle was stolen from the sidewalk near Dewey Avenue and Cleveland Street between 4 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

1200 Dewey
A Raleigh mountain bicycle was stolen from the yard of a home in the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue between noon on July 23 and noon on July 24.

2600 Prairie
A Cannondale road bicycle was taken from a parking garage in the 2600 block of Prairie Avenue between 5 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday.

300 Dempster
A package containing consumable goods was stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Dempster Street between 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:15 p.m. Monday.

1612 Benson
Anthony D. Gordon, 62, of 1406 Chicago Ave., was arrested at 1612 Benson Ave. at 9 p.m. Wednesday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Sept. 9 at 9 a.m.

Davis at Elmwood
Brandon M. Hamilton, 30, of 1406 Chicago Ave., was arrested at Davis Street and Elmwood Avenue at 9 p.m. Wednesday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on Sept. 2 at 9 a.m.

TRAFFIC
1901 Simpson
John Elliott Ross, 31, of 2320 Greenwood St., was arrested at 1901 Simpson St. at 9:53 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation.

1115 Emerson
Dajah M. Taylor, 22, of 1920 Emerson St., was arrested at 1115 Emerson St. at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Sept. 2 at 10:30 a.m.
