Evanston police say they’ve located the black 2011 Subaru Impreza stolen from a pizza delivery driver late Sunday but haven’t found the two men and three women who hijacked it.
Police Cmdr. Ryan Glew says the incident happened at an apartment building in the 400 block of Main Street about 11:15 p.m.
The driver, a 46-year-old Evanton man, said that as he was delivering a pizza to the building the five people appoached and demanded his car keys. When he refused, one of the men hit the driver in the head, causing him to fall to the ground and suffer minor injuries.
The assailants are all described as being black and between 20 and 25 years of age.
The man who hit the driver is further described as 6-feet-tall and 180 pounds and wearing a sweatshirt.
The other man, who was holding a stungun but did not use it, is described as 6-foot-2-inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds with hair that sticks up. He was wearing a red shrit and jeans.
One of the women was described as 5-feet-6-inches tall and 200 pounds with straight black hair. A second woman was described as 5-feet-8-inches tall with partially blond braided hair and a red shirt. The driver was unable to provide a further description of the third woman in the group.
