Evanston police say they took six people wanted on arrest warrants into custody early this morning.

The Evanston arrests came as part of a joint operation with Skokie and Wilmette poilce officers.

Police say the persons arrested included four men — Marcell Gill, 23, and Michael Rogers, 23, wanted for probation violations; Terry Williams, 44, and Michael Perrine, 32, wanted on bond forfeiture warrants — and two women — Elisabeta Stanoiu, 55, wanted for violating an order of protection, and Bernedette Lettner, 18, sought on a retail theft warrant. Warrants for those arrested were issued on cases from Evanston, Skokie and Chicago.

Police Commander Tom Guenther said the arrests were part of the department’s summer strategic operations plan.
