Evanston police are investigating burglaries in the 900 block of Reba Place and the 2900 block of Colfax Street. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

900 Reba

A tool was used by a burglar to free a bicycle from an apartment storage area in the 900 block of Reba Place between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. yesterday.

2900 Colfax

Burglars damaged a rear door as they entered a home in the 2900 block of Colfax Street between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. yesterday.

Shots Heard

1800 Darrow

Gunshots were reported in the 1800 block of Darrow Avenue around 10 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Traffic

2400 Emerson

Richard S. Donaldson, 24, of 6916 N. Hamilton Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2400 Emerson St. at 7:11 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 24 at 9 a.m.

2200 Sheridan

Jesse Padilla, 25, of 4737 W. Patterson Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2200 Sheridan Road at 8:10 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 31 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
