Shots Heard

800 Forest

Gunshots were reported in the 800 block of Forest Avenue at 11:55 a.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Battery

2417 Prairie

Anthony F. Simpson, 62, of 1838 Hovland Ave., was arrested at 2417 Prairie Ave. at 12:05 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on April 19 at 10:30 a.m.

Other

1454 Elmwood

Tara Lee Schultz, 47, of 1221 Darrow Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 7 p.m. Wednesday and charged with violating an order of protection.

821 Davis

Richard W. Walker, 64, of 1604 W. Farwell Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 821 Davis St. at 8:43 p.m. Wednesday and charged with failure to register as a criminal sex offender. He was due in court today at 9 a.m.

Theft

700 Washington

Jewelry was stolen from a retail establishment in the 700 block of Washington Street at 2:30 p.m. yesterday.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
