Three reports of “shots heard” were received by police over the weekend. These among the stories in today’s crime bulletin from Evanston police.

SHOTS HEARD

1800 Hovland

Gunshots were reported in the 1800 block of Hovland Court at 10:47 p.m. Friday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Dempster at Elmwood

Gunshots were reported near Dempster Street and Elmwood Avenue at 10:50 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

1900 Wesley

Gunshots were reported in the 1900 block of Wesley Avenue at 11:04 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

BURGLARY

1300 Oak

Burglars forced their way into a residential storage unit in the 1300 block of Oak Avenue between Sept. 15 and 2 p.m. Friday. Tools and wine were reported stolen.

1400 Elmwood

Two bicycles were taken from an unsecured garage of a residence in the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

900 Reba

Glass panes were found broken from the front door of a home in the 900 block of Reba Place at noon Friday.

100 Clyde

Broken glass panes were found at the front door of a home in the 100 block of Clyde Avenue at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

THEFT

600 Chicago

Alcoholic products and home goods were stolen, in two separate incidents, from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue. One incident occurred at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday. The other was at about 9:45 p.m. yesterday.

1500 Sherman

Jewelry was taken from a store in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

1900 Dempster

Alcoholic products were taken from the Valli Produce Market in the 1900 block of Dempster Street at about 8 p.m. Friday.

Someone stole a bicycle that was secured to a bike rack in the 1900 block of Dempster Street between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday.

1700 Sherman

Health and beauty items were taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue at about 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

100 Chicago

Food was taken from a gas station in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue at about 3:50 a.m. Saturday.

1100 Chicago

A Schwinn Woodlands bicycle secured to a bike rack on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue was stolen between 4:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Friday.

2500 Jackson

A catalytic converter was removed from a 2007 Toyota in the 2500 block of Jackson Avenue between 6 p.m. Thursday and 6:15 a.m. Friday.

TRAFFIC

1500 McDaniel

Petagayg M. A. Maitland-Morgan, 34, of 4815 Greenleaf St., Skokie, was arrested at 1500 McDaniel Ave. at 8:37 a.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. A court date has been set for Nov. 12 at 1:30 p.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
