Evanston police are trying to identify the man who knocked over a menorah that stands in the front yard of the Tannenbaum Chabad House in the 2000 block of Orrington Ave.

Police say the incident happend about 4:22 a.m. on Saturday, May 17.

At this time, police say, there are no indicators suggesting the incident amounted to a hate crime.

One light bulb broke when the menorah was knocked over.
