Evanston health officials reported three new cases of COVID-19 today raising the case count to 752, or roughly one case for every hundred residents. The city also reported three more deaths from the disease, raising the death toll to 62.

Chicago reported 162 more COVID-19 cases for a total of 49,101 and 17 more deaths for a total of 2,369.

Across Illinois there were 595 more cases for a total of 131,198 and 75 more deaths for a total of 6,260.

The Illinois Department of Pubilc Health reported test results for 397 Evanston residents today. It said it found two more positive cases for a positive rate of 0.5%.

Statewide a total of 24,774 tests were reported today with a positive rate of 2.4% and a seven-day-average positive rate of 3.6%

All four regions of the state continue to meet the targets for moving to the next stage of the Restore Illinois plan later this month.
