Evanston/Skokie School District 65 reported today that COVID-19 exposures among students and staff increased sharply this week to 57 from the 35 reported a week ago.
The district’s case counts include both new COVID positive cases among students and staff as well as students and staff who are in quarantine because either they or someone they were in close contact with either exhibited COVID-19 symptoms or tested positive for the disease.
The highest number of persons affected this week was 16 at King magnet school, 14 at Nichols Middle School.
Evanston Township High School reported 19 exposures, with nine new student cases and 10 students in quarantine. That was down from 45 students — all of them under quarantine — last week.
