Northbound traffic on Ridge Avenue in Evanston will be detoured onto Church Street from next Wednesday through Friday so a tower crane can be installed at an apartment building construction site.
The closure, starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, will detour traffic onto Church and then Oak Avenue and Clark Street before returning to Ridge.
Delays are expected and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Southbound traffic on Ridge will be reduced to one lane.
The Focus Development project is building an eight-story apartment building on the site of the unfinished Sienna condominium development at Ridge and Clark.
Subject to possible weather-related delays, the work of installing the crane is expected to be finished by 7 p.m. Friday.
