Construction crews still had more work to do at Greenleaf Street in Evanston today — but the CTA Purple Line was back in service this morning on schedule after the roll-in of a new viaduct there over the weekend.

It’s not the end of the weekend service disruptions for the Purple Line this summer, though, as Evanston gets three replacements for century old bridge spans.

The next weekend shutdown is scheduled for June 22 through 25 when the new viaduct at Dempster Street will be rolled into place.
