A lane of traffic on Greenwood Street between Sherman Avenue and Sherman Place will be closed by the Chicago Transit Authority this weekend to perform work on the viaduct.

The work involves the craning of equipment and material from the south lane of Greenwood.

One lane of traffic will be maintained for both directions, utilizing traffic control measures. Parking will be restricted as needed and the sidewalk on the south side of Greenwood will be closed.

Flaggers will be assisting pedestrians and traffic at all times during the working hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, the authority said.
