Evanston/Skokie School District 65 has cancelled all after-school programs, events, services, and activities, including school-age childcare programs, today because of the expected heavy snow fall.

District communications manager Pat Markham says all students will be dismissed at the end of the regular school day and regular transportation will be provided.

Children who participate in after-school programs, including 21st Century, extended day, sports, chess clubs and school-age childcare, who normally use district transportation to return home should board an appropriate bus at the end of the school day.  She said principals should ensure that all students board the correct bus to return home, and parents of students who participate in school-age childcare programs should arrange to pick up their child at the end of the regular school day.
