d65-superintendent-forum

The Evanston School District 65 School Board is inviting community members to help develop a leadership profile to be used in hiring the next superintendent.

BWP & Associates, the firm hired by the board to conduct the superintendent search, will conduct focus groups, host a community forum and administer a survey to solicit opinions on the vision for the district and qualities of leadership desired in the new superintendent.

The community forum will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, at King Arts Auditorium, 2424 Lake St.

The survey will be available online until Sept. 15, while hard copies are available at all D65 schools, the main branch of the Evanston Public Library, the Levy Center, the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center and at the Joseph E. Hill Education Center.

BWP will also be conducting focus groups of teachers, parents, and various community groups.

The results of community outreach will be presented to the school board at its meeting on Monday, Sept. 23.
