Evanston/Skokie School District 65 Tuesday reported 118 new COVID-19 cases among students. That’s more than double the revised total of 58 from the last bi-weekly report on Friday.
New new cases among school staff also increased.
Thursday is the last day of classes for District 65 before the long winter break. Classes won’t resume until Monday, Jan. 10.
Evanston Township High School isn’t scheduled to update its COVID dashboard until Friday. While District 65 is still holding in-person classes, ETHS switched to remote learning last Friday
COVID cases reported by Evanston’s Health Department increased to to 107 Tuesday from 90 on Monday. The seven-day average of daily cases rose from from 93.6 to 103.0.
Neither the county medical examiner or the city reported any new deaths of Evanston residents from COVID today. So the COVID death toll here remains at 128.
