The Evanston/Skokie District 65 School Board has set up an online survey to receive citizen input on the characteristics and skills desired in the superintendent they plan to hire this year to replace Hardy Murphy, who retired in August.
Board President Tracy Quattrocki has vowed to gain as much citizen input as possible before the board makes its decision, which is expected in be finalized in the spring.
By putting the survey on line, the board hopes to attract more responses at less cost than if they conducted a similar survey by mail.
The survey will be available until Dec. 10 and can be taken in English or Spanish.
