Former state treasurer Alexi Giannoulias reportedly will teach at Northwestern University this fall.

Crain’s Chicago Business reports he’ll teach a political science class on Campaigning vs. Leading as a visiting faclty member.

The class will largely focus on the 2010 U.S. senate race Giannoulias lost to Mark Kirk. It’s designed to explore whether the way political leaders are elected is antithetical to good governance.
