Some protestors painted “Defund EPD” on the Elmwood Avenue pavement in front of the Evanston police station this afternoon.

By early this evening city workers were power washing the slogan off the street.

There was no immediate response to Evanston Now’s inquiry to police this evening about whether any of the graffiti artists were ticketed.
