The Center for Independent Futures hosted a reception for more than 100 friends, community partners, and supporters Monday night at Found Kitchen and Social House in Evanston.
“This is our opportunity to thank all of the individuals who that have supported us since the beginning, 12 years ago,” said Executive Director Ann Sickon.
The event marked the official announcement of a $100,000 Partners for the Future matching challenge grant CIF has been awarded by the Evanston Community Foundation.
Sara Schastok, President and CEO of ECF said, “We believe that CIF is in a position to use this opportunity to take them to the next level in Evanston, expanding the organization’s reach and building long-term sustainability.”
The Center for Independent Futures, at 1015 Davis St., helps individuals with disabilities have access to all opportunities of a full life.
